Respond to the Call of God
(Mary's testimony and the story of MCM)
by
Dr. Mary Craig

July 2003

Respond to the Call of God This month Mary Craig Ministries, Inc. celebrates ten years of ministry. Since I am often asked to talk about the process of responding to the call of God, my story follows. I hope it will encourage you and bring glory to Christ.

In September of 1972, a battle raged over my soul. I had grown up in church, and presumed I had a personal relationship with Jesus, but I was not truly "saved." When asked what I would say to God should I find myself dead and standing before Him as He asked why He should let me into His heaven, I responded with my "Christian resume," a long list of everything from 11 years in choir to VBS to how hard I had tried to do right. Suddenly, I knew it was the wrong answer and that Jesus had something to do with the right answer, but how?... moreClick

To the Nations
(Including Mary's call and missions to the nations)
by
Dr. Mary Craig

Sept. 2003

To the Nations July, 2003, marks ten years of Mary Craig Ministries, Inc. We have sent 23 people, many going more than once, on 25 mission trips since August of 1994. Teams have ministered in fifty nations of the world and on all seven continents. Of the 27 nations given on "the list," 21 have been ministered to according to God’s directive that came out in a prayer meeting in 1994.

As we were faithful to call first cities and then the USA and then nations to "repent or perish," the Holy Spirit sent us to regions and all seas and finally to all seven continents to call them not only to repentance, but also to resurrection. This assignment from the Lord fulfilled Acts 1.8, to take the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth, an assignment that began in Jerusalem in March 1999. The strategy given to us became an instrument in the hand of the Lord to "break the blood curse."

As we were faithful in the beginning steps, God increased our authority and territory. MCM’s motto is: In His Name, by His grace, for His glory. We have gone forth in His Name as His messengers and servants of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the Name of the LORD!... moreClick

A World Missions Update
by
Dr. Mary Craig

Sept. 2001 (Updated 6/2/2003)

It is Mary Craig Ministries' passionate goal to bring the nations into the praise of God's glory. As we pursue God's glory, our goal to magnify God kindles a fervent desire to "declare His glory among the nations" (Psalm 96:3). We want people everywhere to become worshippers of the one, true God.

Missions begins and ends in worship. When we talk about God and worship Him, we desire to demonstrate our sense of respect, reverence, wonder, and "dread" for His Person. It begins with each individual heart responding to God's awesome Being. We are stunned by the greatness of our Creator so as not to belittle Him, ignore Him, and treat Him as worth less than our selves as individuals, or worth less than other things, people, circumstances, etc.

God's passion is to be glorified. The most passionate heart in all the universe for God is God's own heart. The word "glory" refers to the sum total of God's attributes, e.g., His mercy, goodness, truth, righteousness, holiness, omnipotence, omniscience, etc. He desires to manifest the essence of His being, all that makes Him GOD. The passionate heart of the Holy Spirit fuels the fires within us to declare His glory in a relentless pursuit of praise....moreClick

Wait for the Vision: It Will Not Tarry

by Dr. Mary Craig

August, 2002

Craighouse® is a vision that is now becoming a reality by the grace of God and in His timing. After "saving our shekels," we are finally moving into a larger facility and will officially open our doors next month. This is our history....

The concept of the Craighouse® name comes from Job 39.28 where it describes the "crag" of the rock and the stronghold. Proverbs 30.26 says that the little rock badgers or conies are a feeble folk yet they make their homes in the crags. Isaiah 2.21 speaks of going into the clefts of the rocks and into the crags of the rugged rocks from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty when He arises to shake the earth mightily. Craig is a variation of crag, from Scotland. The Craigs were the people in Scotland who lived in the crags.

My husband, Rev. Jim Craig, and I found that people coming to our home for Bible studies and small groups over the last 30 years just started calling our home Craighouse. We ourselves have gone through times of being spiritually orphaned and wounded along the way; and so, the vision accords with our training and history.

Who are the orphaned? The orphaned are those whose problems have been ignored or denied. These have been abandoned because there has not been enough time to talk out the poison of the problem in perhaps an impersonal and/or institutional environment. It may be a perception or a reality.

Who are the wounded? The wounded are those who have experienced rejection, isolation, mistreatment and/or discrimination, have been found "incomplete," or perhaps perceived things to be so....moreClick
