Letters From Mary Craig

Letters from Mary Craig concerning/during the 2020 COVID-19 virus emergency

Sunday, April 15, 2020

Hello, everyone.

It seems here in the USA that we go from two weeks to two weeks, all the time waiting to hear next steps regarding COVID-19. Nations are switching now to getting back to whatever “normal” is, and we need to do that.

In that regard, we need to pray that people everywhere use wisdom managing risk while at the same time, for true believers in Christ, to trust the LORD. We are not to put God to the test, to tempt Him “as they did in the wilderness.” A healthy and strong fear of the LORD helps and likewise our being carriers of hope. Believers are not as those who have no hope.

Something beautiful forms the foundation of the true Christian’s prayer, the beauty of the Blood of Jesus. It is on the basis, the foundation, of Christ’s life of perfect obedience, His fulfilling all righteousness and pleasing His Father in all things, His obedience even to death on the Cross, His dying to pay the penalty for our sins and effecting the means of being forgiven by a Holy God, being reconciled to the Father, being redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, His bearing the wrath and curse of God, and His destruction work of the Devil by His death, burial, and resurrection, that we come to the Father through the Son by the power of the Holy Spirit. The LORD reigns!

Pray that this be a time of renewal, restoration, and repair. Much of God’s good creation is taking in a breath of fresh air, clapping hands for this reprieve. Little dolphins have returned to Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida. The beaches are cleaner. The water has improved. The air is less polluted. Little animals are safer trying to cross the roads. Pray it doesn’t become just a “trick,” that things are turned to the good without nations being set back hundreds of years.

Pray for fellow believers worldwide. The gospel is going out with a wider net and stronger influence. Pray for fruit that remains, for the transforming power of the Gospel by the Word and by the power of the Holy spirit, to prevail. Watch, and pray.

Let us come boldly to the Throne of Grace to obtain mercy and to find grace and favor in a timely way for all in whom the Living God is working. Pray for people to turn from folly and from wicked ways to the Living God. Repentance starts in the household of God. Jesus sacrificed Himself as the sin offering, the Lamb for the Household of God. Honor all that Christ is and has done and is doing.

The message attached is on the Beauty of the Blood of Jesus. May it encourage you, strengthen your position in Christ, fill you with a desire to exalt Jesus, and let the eternal Truth undergird all that is going on in this temporal world now.

Grace and peace to you,

Mary Craig, D. Min.

He is risen!Thursday, April 9, 2020 - Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter)

We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ because without the resurrection of Christ, there is no true Gospel. Jesus rising from the dead, as He said, demonstrated that the offering of Himself, a once-for-all time offering never needing to be repeated for sin, was accepted by the Father on behalf of those for whom Christ died. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. True believers in Christ are redeemed by the Blood of the lamb. Jesus bore the wrath of God, was sin-bearer, curse-bearer, bearer of the glory of God, and as Surety of the Covenant, the perfect Mediator between God and man. In a spectacle as only the Living God can do, Jesus triumphed over devils, disease, and death. Having lived a life of perfect, personal, perpetual obedience, Jesus fulfilled all righteousness, imputing that righteousness to those who place their trust in Him alone and only and paying the penalty for sins. Satan, therefore, is defeated both legally and judicially. The justified-ones-in Christ shall live by faith in the blessed hope of eternal life in Him.

So we celebrate Him, not to be entertained, but to be in His Presence; not to be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but to confess Him as we are called to do, in our being witnesses and in our doing witnessing.

We invite you to join us Sunday April 12th at 4:30 p.m. Dial 978-990-5000. If it's busy, try again.

Our guest speaker is David Patten, the Chairman of the Board of Mary Craig Ministries, Inc. David is the Senior Editor of Newsmax Magazine and premier journalist at He speaks from the heart. He's a great story-teller. Join in the call and be very blessed indeed.

Friday, April 10, 2020 - Good Friday Message

A Good Friday Message for you from Dr. Mary Craig –

Our President here in the USA, Donald Trump, began his daily briefing acknowledging that today is Good Friday. He honored today in the lives of Christians all over the world and honored the resurrection of Jesus Christ, pointing to the hope that it brings. He knows that we especially need hope right now and as many are seeking God, praying, and “cleaning up their act,” it was significant that President Trump pointed to the hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is a carrier of hope; may it be so also of us.

I was going through some articles on our web site, , and noticed a Good Friday message on “
Hope: The Last Temptation,” written back in April 2014. At the time, we at Craighouse Christian Fellowship were studying Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was persecuted and killed for his faith right at the end of WWII. He wrote what fast became a classic, “The Cost of Discipleship.”

This Good Friday message is attached. I found it quite timely for today, and I hope you will read it and think about it. We call this Friday “Good.” Something spectacular, marvelous, and world-changing happened, and we can be thankful that Jesus Christ never lost hope, held to His mission and message, and did not succumb to temptation, even and especially on the Cross.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8 NKJV

May you know in an ever deepening way that blessed hope that is Jesus Christ,

Mary Craig, D. Min.

Mary Craig speaking on the Holy Spirit in JerusalemTuesday, April 7, 2020 - Palm Sunday message

Hello, everyone, here and around the world.

COVID-19 is being used of the Living God to bring change, as any crisis does. Some changes may be temporary, and some permanent. It is a test of: bitter, or better.

More and more people are turning to the LORD, spending time with the LORD, praying, reading the Bible (more than once!), and getting used to livestreaming, teleconference calls, staying at home and sheltering in.

Palm Sunday was the first in my long memory of foregoing a congregation waving palm leaves (remember, we live in Florida), having children singing, and enjoying the celebration of the Coronation of the King of kings as He entered Jerusalem.

The meek and lowly Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, the symbol of peace, as the Victor of Salvation. 2 Chronicles 20:14ff gives us the Law of Victory. Don’t be afraid; the battle is not yours, but God’s…You will not need to fight in the battle. Take your position, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear or be dismayed… Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judea and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the LORD (Covenant Lord), worshiping the LORD. There was a lot of praising the Lord God of Israel.

Palm Sunday announced the fulfillment of prophecies in Zechariah in a dramatic enactment of the event, a spectacle as only Almighty God can produce. It was a day of visitation, and who will know it? Will we?

As we go through “Holy Week,” remember that Jesus has already accomplished for us Salvation. Most every true believer I know goes through what I call “an essence” of what Jesus experienced during this week, in order that we might better identify with Him.

Here in the U.S.A., we are being told to brace ourselves for a possibly worst week of this pandemic. As we go through it together, let’s also remember what Jesus said in John 14: 30, 31 as He gave His peace (verse 27) and prepared His disciples further as to what was to transpire (verse 28, 29).

“I will no longer talk with you much, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me. But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.”

If you keep reading in John’s gospel, you will discover we have words of Jesus from which we can gain strength, encouragement, and hope in chapters 15-17.

May the Love of Christ fill you with His hope and His faith as you proceed through the next days,

Mary Craig, D. Min.

Prophecy Fulfilled -- Here Comes the King! Palm Sunday, April 5

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9 NKJV

Rejoice, shout, behold. Look here, Jerusalem, prophecy is being fulfilled. Jesus Christ is unfolding a drama enactment of a living parable. He is the King coming to you, Jerusalem. He is just and having salvation. He is declaring His absolute authority over you, Jerusalem. How will you know? He is lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey....

Dear Friends here and around the world,

With COVID-19 affecting more than 150 nations, we are experiencing changes to culture, many of which may be permanent. Some will be for our good as the LORD sifts, and sorts, separates, and sanctifies. It may be difficult to follow rules like “Safer at Home,” “Shelter in Place,” “Quarantine Yourselves,” etc. but way back in Biblical history that’s how God said to deal with contagious diseases—quarantine, separate from others, preserve life as much as possible.

What can we remember today as we remember the LORD?

I think about the purpose for which God created the world, from the tiniest particle to humankind to the whole universe. God wants to manifest His glory. And as a seminary professor of mine used to say in his “golden voice,” “God looked all around at everything He created and couldn’t find anything more glorious than Himself.”

Now I know this sounds really ego-maniacal, but it’s true. The Living and True God is so glorious that His very best for us is to manifest that glory in such a way that we turn to Him, focus our attention on Him, and then see His worth. Our highest good and deepest joy are found in glorifying God. The Bible tells us how:

1. Delight yourself in the LORD. When we do that, He will give us the desires of our heart. Psalm 37:4
2. Rejoice in the LORD. Psalm 33 gives many reasons. Paul exhorts this in Philippians 4. So many scriptures say this. It is a prime means of overcoming anxiety. Rejoice in the Lord. Pray properly. Think on things of good report. Live properly.
3. Sing to the LORD a new song. Search it out in the Psalms and in Revelation. We will come through this pandemic, this plague, together singing a new song. Crisis brings us to a crossroad: we emerge bitter or better. Let’s seek to come forth with praise and rejoicing and a new song, with deeper trust in the Lord, deeper joy, deeper understanding of Truth. Isaiah 35:10, for example.
4. See the Beauty of the Lord and His holiness. Psalm 27:4, Isaiah 33:17
5. Extol the Lord. Psalm 30
6. Thirst for the Living God. Psalm 42:1, 2. Hunger for His righteousness. Matthew 5:6.
7. Be happy in God. Psalm 144 (This is more than receiving happiness from God. It is finding the Source of our happiness IN God Himself.)

We’re seeing evil exposed right now and lawlessness. It helps to remember that sin kills. Every time we sin, there is a little death. Some would call it suicidal. As we see sin as our enemy, we see with more clarity the Beauty of Christ as our Redeemer. Forgiveness, freedom from bondage, the wrath of God lifted, reconciliation accomplished in our behalf, Satan triumphed over, all come only through the One and Only Mediator Jesus Christ as we repent and put our faith in Him alone.

The teaching attached is not on what is in this letter; it is on a miracle of Jesus described in one verse. I hope you will give it thought, since we’re all putting in a lot of “home” time. We are encountering the Living God globally. Change is in the wind as the Holy Spirit blows across the creation and the Lion of Judah roars. Listen to the still small voice, “Be still, and know that I AM GOD.” Lives will be transformed. Hopefully, mine. Hopefully, yours. Just hang in there.

That we might see the beauty of the LORD,

Mary Craig, D. Min.

Sunday, March 22

Dear friends, here and around the world,

We cancelled our services in obedience to the civil authorities and so as not to put God to the test, and so I am home, with the LORD. I have been browsing through our main website,, and came across something I wrote back in June of 2003. Yes, I know that’s nearly 17 years ago, but the wonderful thing about the Word of God is that it lasts forever and remains living and active, especially as the Holy Spirit brings it to us.

So I am attaching this message:
Believe in the Goodness of God.

Here in the U.S.A. we talk about those of our nation being in this COVID-19 pandemic/plague together, but really, we must think more globally. As the Body of Christ, we are members of one another out of every tribe and tongue and people group and nation. As I woke up this morning, I heard:

Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might.

Be strong and very courageous.

Strengthen yourself in the LORD.

Be strong for My love is as strong as death. Therefore be strong, for I am as “pulley power” with a strength that helps. I uphold you with My righteous right hand, a right hand of power, protection, comfort, peace, and the strong grip of My grace.

Believe in My goodness. I have told you ahead of time [
word for 2020] that you might be steady of heart and mind. Now come to Me, all the earth, for as you call, I will answer. As you repent, I will grant repentance. As you humble yourself before Me, I will grant you grace. I love you. You are Mine. I am coming for a holy Bride. True and righteous ae My judgments. My love never fails.

Dr. Mary Craig

Saturday, March 14

Dear friends,
. . .
President Trump has declared tomorrow, March 15th, as a National Day of Prayer. He is appealing for divine intervention. We hope everyone will involve themselves in this regard. Please pray for all government leaders around the world for wisdom, strength, grace, protection, etc. Many ministries are putting out prayer suggestions.

Last night Dr. Mary Craig spoke on “The Fear of the LORD” as part of the “Weapons of Spiritual Warfare” series. The live recording will be available soon. We also prayed concerning this plague: Psalms 140-150; James 4:1-10; Ephesians 3:14-21 and as the Holy Spirit led.

Stopping a plague is described in Numbers 16, where Aaron ran to get a censer from the altar and ran into the fray, standing between the dead and the living so that the plague was stopped. This is interposition. Jesus ever lives to make intercession for the saints and likewise stands in the gap…interposition. We are asking the Covenant Lord for mercy here. This is a call to repentance as well as to believe in Jesus, believe Jesus, and believe what Jesus believes. It is not just a matter of humbling ourselves and praying, but also a matter of turning from wicked ways.

May the Covenant Lord bless you and keep you by the power of the Holy Spirit. People of nations are not fasting from food, but from activities of daily life. God will have us keep His Sabbaths. Seek Him. Pray His Word back to Him (whether you understand it all or not). 2020 is a year of great surprises. See below.

I pray this time becomes for you a precious opportunity to know Him and the power of His resurrection.
