A World Missions Update

Sept. 2001 (Updated 6/2/2003)

By Dr. Mary Craig

It is Mary Craig Ministries' passionate goal to bring the nations into the praise of God's glory. As we pursue God's glory, our goal to magnify God kindles a fervent desire to "declare His glory among the nations" (Psalm 96:3). We want people everywhere to become worshippers of the one, true God.

Missions begins and ends in worship. When we talk about God and worship Him, we desire to demonstrate our sense of respect, reverence, wonder, and "dread" for His Person. It begins with each individual heart responding to God's awesome Being. We are stunned by the greatness of our Creator so as not to belittle Him, ignore Him, and treat Him as worth less than our selves as individuals, or worth less than other things, people, circumstances, etc.

God's passion is to be glorified. The most passionate heart in all the universe for God is God's own heart. The word "glory" refers to the sum total of God's attributes, e.g., His mercy, goodness, truth, righteousness, holiness, omnipotence, omniscience, etc. He desires to manifest the essence of His being, all that makes Him GOD. The passionate heart of the Holy Spirit fuels the fires within us to declare His glory in a relentless pursuit of praise. For example, see Isaiah 40:25,26; Isaiah 48:9-11.

The people of God, as God's demonstration people, are to reflect God's glory. The supremacy of God in the heart of God is the spring of His lovingkindness, His mercy and compassion. God has joy in loving. He exalts the glory of what is absolutely glorious…Himself. Our satisfaction in Him, our delight in Him, fulfills us. Consider: do you like to be around God and treasure a relationship with Him? Our satisfaction with Him brings Him great glory. Did you know that? Are you satisfied with all that God has for you in Jesus Christ? Check out Psalm 16:11.

In 1989 I was called to bring healing and restoration to the Body of Christ, to prepare the Bride for His return, and to call the nations to repentance when and where God would send me. In 1999 I was called to go to the nations and call them to resurrection. In 1993, a "list" was recorded during a powerful MCM prayer meeting. At the top of a sheet of paper from a steno pad, Wanda Barlow wrote "The List." God moved. "Every nation where you want to go and see God work, write that down." Twenty-seven nations comprised the list: Ukraine, India, Switzerland, Scotland, France, Australia, Nova Scotia, Hungary, Poland, Spain, Mozambique, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Haiti, Virgin Islands, Newfoundland, Chile, Argentina, Ireland, England, Brazil, Ethiopia, Bulgaria, Zimbabwe, Finland, Greece, and New Zealand. Holding to the vision, the ministry moved by the power of the Holy Spirit to bring it forth.

Why is Mary Craig Ministries concerned with the nations as well as with you, the individual members of the Body? In Romans 15, we are exhorted to receive one another to the glory of God. Paul is talking about Jews and Gentiles. He says Jesus became a servant to the circumcision (the Jews) for the truth of God, to confirm the promises of the covenant, and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy. If you think about this, Jesus certifies the integrity of the covenant, confirming the Word and promises, removing all doubt and magnifying God's glory, i.e., His truth and mercy. Cf. Matthew 9:36-38, Revelation 5:9.

Christ came to show God's truthfulness and to confirm His promises. He came that the nations might glorify and praise Him for His mercy. MERCY MOVES MISSIONS. Besides His passion to be glorified, God has a passion to be merciful and gracious. Ephesians one emphasizes what is done "all to the praise of God's glorious grace!"

So, MCM goes to the nations. Nations on "the list" are not the only nations where I have gone with teams. MCM teams have also been into
Madagascar, South Africa, Venezuela, Wales, Israel, Jamaica, Austria, Slovakia, Germany, Monaco, the Vatican, Turkey, and elsewhere. Nations yet to go include Switzerland, Australia, Mozambique, Virgin Islands, Chile, Argentina, Ethiopia, Bulgaria, Zimbabwe, and New Zealand. Teams have also been into the projects of Augusta, Georgia, to Harvard Law School, to cities around the United States and locally. In many of these nations, MCM has also ministered and met the needs of orphans, poverty-stricken families, missionaries needing medical supplies, and churches needing Bible teaching.

In India, MCM supplied funds for new church plants and the "Jesus" film in addition to preaching and teaching at crusades where thousands came who had never before heard of Jesus Christ. In Poland, pastors and people came to seminars on healing and the gifts of the Spirit. In Venezuela, pastors and people came to be taught about the work of the Holy Spirit in salvation and to be introduced to Evangelism Explosion as a witnessing tool. There I was blessed to speak at the National Convention of Praise and Worship in San Cristobal. In Costa Rica, the team witnessed to families and children in a Nicaraguan refugee camp in addition to ministering in several area churches. In Haiti, MCM gave 90 orphans clothing, medical supplies, toys, and ministry. In Jamaica, Ukraine, India, Puerto Rico, Madagascar, and Brazil, we did the same. Mercy moves missions. God seeks to be glorified among the nations. [Editor's note: MCM teams have now reached New Zealand, Australia, Tazmania, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Chile, Agentina, and Antarctica as of Jan 2003.]

MCM is a barrier-breaking, front line ministry called to do strategic spiritual warfare over the nations where God sends us. The anointing received breaks and destroys yokes, breaks up fallow ground, and breaks blood curses and covenants through the Blood Covenant of Jesus Christ. Nations are called to repentance and resurrection, and the harvest of souls to be saved is called in. One pastor has described MCM as a stealth bomber strike force, getting in and getting out, deploying the strategies given by the Holy Spirit for air warfare before ground troops are sent in.

MCM also financially supports and has supported mercy missions such as

as well as other ministries caring for the homeless, unwed mothers, distressed families, and the like.

Mary Craig Ministries operates in faith that God will continue to equip us both spiritually and financially to minister throughout the nations as well as locally here in the United States.
